My students are cuter than yours.

It's true. They are.

I mean, just look for yourself. They Gangnam-styled the alphabet. What you gotta say about that, Psy?

Give Thanks.

This will be my third Thanksgiving away from home.
I always get a bit homesick when the Holidays come 'round.
But being far from home has made me even more thankful for all the wonders and blessings in my life.

Although I wish I could be feasting at the Kelly cabin with my family today, I remain thankful for all that God has provided me.

Happy Thanksgiving, my friends.

When you're sick in Korea...

What Koreans do:

1) Run to the hospital.
2) Get a shot in the butt.
3) Feel better.

What I do:

1) Refuse to go to the hospital-- it's just a cold, after all.
2) Drink copious amounts of Korean tea.

3) Find a Pharmacy.
4) Explain symptoms through the art of charades.
5) Obtain meds for under 5 bucks.

 6) Consume Korean soup.

6) Overload on Mandarin Oranges.

7) Rest.
8) Feel better.

Eat up.

Everything I eat in Korea is good for my health.

At least, that's what my Korean friends tell me.

Korea prides itself on having foods with holistic health benefits. Just look at kimchi, it's considered the healthiest food in the world.

I'm often told that this is good for your heart, and that is good for your brain. Everything is good for something. So here's a small list for you to see how "healthy" I eat in Korea.

garlic

ginseng

eggplant
seaweed

onions

anchovies

aloe juice
twigs (made into tea)

What do you think? Are you ready to hop on the health craze of Korea?

빼빼로 Day.

November 11th.
In the Commonwealth countries, it's Remembrance Day.
In Korea, it's Pepero Day. 11/11 looks like four Pepero sticks.

A holiday similar to Valentine's Day, Pepero Day was created by Lotte- the giant retailer in Korea. On Pepero Day you buy boxes of Pepero's and give them to your friends, coteachers, principal. And then you give yourself seven boxes, because you deserve it.

And then you eat all seven boxes, because it's Pepero Day.

And then you remember that you didn't get your boyfriend any, and you feel bad. So, you go to the nearest mart.

But you get distracted on how cute their Pepero display is.

And then you get hungry looking at all the adorable heart creations.
So you buy a box of almond Pepero's, because they're your favorite.
And then you eat them all.

Then you realize you still don't have anything for your boyfriend. So, you just give him a kiss, because that's kind of like a Pepero. But not really, because Pepero's are much more delicious..... but don't tell him that.

Happy Pepero Day, my lovelies!
